Friday, 26th July 2013: It’s not long now to our trip to Moldova and our preparations
are well underway but in all the busyness and planning it’s so easy to forget
the foundational and true purpose of our visit.
That is, and it is our prayer, to “Reveal Jesus”.
We’ve started a short devotional from the Youversion , Bible
App, called “Revealing Jesus with Darlene Zschech”
Setting aside a plug for the CD (which, by the way, is excellent!), the Youversion devotional has some very good bite sized chunks containing a Bible verse with a short reflection which helps us to put our focus on Jesus. (Youversion also has other Bible Reading Plans and daily devotionals designed to take us through the Word of God - check them out here - worth choosing one to subscribe to as it's so important to stay connected to the Bible)
With our theme for our activities in Moldova being "putting
on the whole armour of God", there is one particular song on Darlene’s CD album
called “In Jesus' Name” (see video below) which is a great reminder that Jesus Himself is fighting
for us and He has overcome: What a wonderful
truth, as believers, when we fight against our spiritual enemy we are fighting
from a position of victory and resting "In Jesus’ name", His authority and the completed work at Calvary.

You maybe able to listen to Darlene's CD album, "Revealing Jesus" on Spotify - which has some great live worship songs. As Darlene says, "the whole concept for the album has come out of a simple longing for more of Jesus to be revealed in my life. More of Him in every area of my life, starting with my heart...." This is a reminder and an encouragement that we should also be choosing to make Jesus the centre of our lives.
